Friends of the Equal Parenting Party!
We, the members of the Equal Parenting Party, dedicate ourselves to ensuring the rights of all family members (parents, children and relatives) are properly supported and represented in courts, society and everyday life.
We dedicate ourselves to this mission in order to revitalize the importance of our society's most significant members - Our Children.
The natural fallout of this treatment, in every walk of life, of all family members, will be wide reaching and effect many positive changes in our country and perhaps others.
The single best parent is both parents - respecting the equal rights of potential parents, parents of intact families, out-of-wedlock parents and post divorce parents will result in positive changes for our children. Children deserve equal access to their Relatives, both paternal and maternal and this can only be accomplished through significant time with both parents. We advocate the elimination of 'visitation' for any parent - Our children deserve more than visitors. Our goals start with Family Court Reform but clearly do not end there. We advocate the elimination of wasteful litigation costs resulting from needless court battles fueled by unjust and corrupt court systems. In the end this financial rape of our children's future finances. We advocate the proper public awareness of the atrocities of our current Family Court system - through the media and our own actions. We advocate for equal rights as well as obligations and responsibilities for all parents. When parents are treated equally there is greater incentive for cooperation and co-parenting for potential parents, parents of intact families, out-of-wedlock parents and post divorce parents.
The Equal Parenting Party
In MOST States, our government has usurped parental custodial rights under the idea that the State, not parents, is better suited to protect those unable to care for themselves. This law is called Parens Patriae. When a custody case is filed, the "Parens Patriae" law eliminates our Constitutional liberty interest to be a parent to our children. This "Parens Patriae" doctrine has facilitated the unchecked growth of the huge divorce/custody industry paid for by "monied" litigants or public tax dollars. More devastating than the current stock market crash and energy crisis facing us all, "Parens Patriae" (removing your right to be a custodial parent) results in a business that brings daily economic hardship and emotional destruction to our middle class and children
The divorce/custody industry involves many players but most important, elected and appointed Judges. IN our Courts, politics and business mix and fees are generated under the guise of being in the "best interests of children." We conservatively estimate that just one particular Judge in Nassau County, NY has generated more than 40 million dollars in fees to the divorce/custody industry players. In fact, this Judge co-founded a very private business enterprise from whose members the Judge appoints his "case managers, parenting coordinators and forensic evaluators."! The Equal Parenting Party deems this to be akin to a new "enlightened absolutism" where Judges set aside our basic constitutional rights and ignore conflicts of interest by using the "best interests of our children" as an excuse to promote public welfare from the top down. Unfortunately, the public welfare nor our children are the real beneficiaries of this new absolutism. Yet Lawyers, doctors, forensic experts and many more newly created layers of bureaucratic professionals are the real beneficiaries.
THE REMEDY: THE EQUAL PARENTING PARTY URGES EVERYONE TO SUPPORT THE FOLLOWING CHANGES: 1. Passing Legislation to enact a Shared Parenting Law for fit parents and shared parenting planning. 2. Pass Legislation to enact a law placing a $25,000.00 cap on legal fees in divorce/custody battles absent extraordinary circumstances. 3. Pass Legislation to require a financial planner in divorce/custody cases whose role is to preserve the parents and children's standard of living (in lieu of lawyers and court appointees taking one or both parties resources). 4. Pass Legislation to bring accountability and truth to our citizens by: a. publishing statistics regarding the amount of bi-annual fees awarded by each individual Judge to all players without referring to case name. b. publishing bi-annual statistics regarding which gender is awarded custody by each Judge. c. Publishing the average amount of time it takes for a case to be resolved by each Judge. (in certain Court-rooms, the average time exceeds two years!) d. enabling Judicial Candidates to campaign and express their views regarding legal issues and stopping the practice of cross endorsements for Judicial Candidates (i.e.. one candidate running on both major party lines=Communist type one candidate elections) Equal Parenting Party USA Inc. mourns passing of a visionary and supporter.
